The team onsite has made significant progress over the past month, with 100% of wind turbine foundations now complete and ten wind turbines installed by the end of February.
Energy Minister Guy Barnett visited the wind farm site in late February to mark the start of generation – the wind farm is now sending clean, renewable energy to Tasmania’s electricity grid.
Trenching is underway to install the cable that connects each wind turbine to the wind farm substation, and civil works for the wind farm’s Operations and Maintenance building have now commenced.
Work to finalise the wind farm transmission line is now complete with full site demobilisation planned by mid-March.
