Construction crews on site are making steady progress despite the winter weather conditions creating some challenges.

Work on the wind farm’s 31 turbine foundations is progressing well with the installation of steel reinforcement, conduits and structural concrete underway, and the first foundation expected to be complete in July.

Installation of transmission line poles has now commenced and is due for completion in August. Traffic management will be in place along Pieman Rd and Heemskirk Rd between 9th July and September to allow for the erection of hurdles and transmission line stringing.

We are currently finalising plans to transport oversize wind farm turbine components from Burnie to the project construction site, with the first truck movements expected to depart Burnie in late August. A dry-run will be completed prior to the transport program getting underway.
