As the wind farm nears completion, preparations are now well underway for the transition to operations. This includes the demobilisation of construction equipment, ongoing site rehabilitation works and onboarding of permanent service and maintenance employees.
The wind farm is now exporting up to 106MW of clean energy to Tasmania’s electricity grid – that’s 95% of total generation capacity – and the final two wind turbines will be installed in coming months. Testing and commissioning work is ongoing in readiness for the wind farm reaching full generation capacity.
Site rehabilitation works are progressing well – including returning the onsite Quarry to pasture for cattle grazing.
