Work to construct the 11km transmission line to connect Granville Harbour Wind Farm to the electricity grid is progressing well. Vegetation clearance along the transmission line corridor is now complete, and the construction of access tracks is around 90% complete. The construction of foundations for transmission line poles continues, with concrete poured for 24 out of 35 poles at the end of March.

The current focus at the wind farm site is excavation works for our wind turbine foundations. For each wind turbine you need to dig a hole approximately 20m in diameter which takes around one week to complete. We’ve now completed excavation works for around 20 of our 31 turbines, and installation of the first wind turbine anchor cages and foundation concrete pours are planned to commence soon.
